Columbus, OH – On June 2, 2023, Louis Mosca of the Partner America™ program shared an update on the status of small business with the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) during a Small Business Task Force meeting.
In a panel hosted by long-term small business advocate and supporter of the Parter America™ program, Mayor Elizabeth Kautz of Burnsville, MN, Mosca began by sharing the challenges many owners are facing at this time:
“We’re finding that the biggest source of angst amongst business owners at this time includes opportunity, the debt ceiling, competition, EIDL repayments, interest rates, staffing, recession, and many are facing the very real threat of having less than thirty days of liquidity on-hand. These challenges are beginning to impact local economies drastically.”
“Mayors are the first line of defense for businesses throughout the United States, and to help offset the pressure from these business challenges, the Partner America™ program has been working extensively to educate owners on planning, growing, competing, and developing a culture of opportunity and success within their organizations.”

Partner America™ Small Business Events
Partner America™ Small Business Events give mayors a unique way to strengthen their relationships with their business owner communities, raising awareness of the city’s dedication to business success and supporting development, job creation, and economic prosperity.
These morning events are hosted at local, independently-owned restaurants, providing an open-platform teaching environment where participants are encouraged to engage with and learn from the presenters over coffee and breakfast.
Business Survey™ Analysis
The Business Survey™ is a comprehensive small business service the USCM, and Partner America™ make available to owners.
Over 5-7 days, a team of analysts works with the owner and their team to understand the organization’s inner workings, identify their challenges and weaknesses, then provide valuable recommendations to grow sales, improve employee recruiting and engagement, grow profits, and create a more competitive and successful organization.
